Meet Kerri

Hi! I’m Kerrionne. Feel free to call me Kerri! I am extremely excited to welcome you to Cultivating Kerri,  a wellness lifestyle blog where I share what I call “my journey of cultivation,” an incredible venture to wholeness — spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional wellness. Just as a garden must be tilled, fertilized, and properly nourished,  we too must embrace our journey of cultivation to reach our true state of beauty. I believe wholeness is the true state. Join me as I dare to properly nourish my body, empower my mind, yield my spirit, and fortify my emotions.  I hope that you will gain inspiration from my journey and choose to embrace your own.

   Biography

A native of New Orleans, LA, Kerrionne is best described as a perfect combination of southern charm, cajun spunk, and eclectic style and personality. She is a speaker, humanitarian, and enjoys helping others live whole, healthy, and enriched lives.

A graduate of Spelman College, she received her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Pre-medicine. Her passion for wellness began with her dream of becoming a doctor. However, as she grew in her faith, she realized that her dream was not only to treat illness, but to educate and inspire others to take an active role in their health through nutrition, fitness, spiritual growth, and eliminating mental and emotional clutter.  She believes there is more to health than having a healthy body and that we are not just physical beings, but our bodies are connected to a mind and a spirit. Her approach to wellness is deeply rooted in the concept of  “health from the inside out,” which focuses on the importance of taking care of your inner self leading to a more vibrant outer self.

Kerrionne strives to instill the value of embracing a sense of self love and wellness to all she encounters. She has traveled to forty- three of fifty states and has spoken to and inspired over 30,000 youth to make positive life choices and to give their lives to Christ. She has also served in countries like Haiti, Mexico, and with numerous non-profit organizations throughout the U.S. She is madly in love with Jesus and is passionate about living out His mission found in  Luke 4:18 “to teach the Gospel to the poor; to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the recovery of sight to the blind. To set at liberty those who are oppressed.”  Her drive for helping others is influenced by the adversities that she has overcome in her own life.

Kerrionne currently resides in Atlanta, GA, where she works as a Care Coach for survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation by day and is actively pursuing a career in wellness by night. She provides personalized wellness plans, motivational speaking, and advice on the enrichment of one’s temple. She is cultivating herself and inspiring others to cultivate a lifestyle of total health and wellness.
